12 inch cast iron skillet (or oven proof baking dish)
Ingredients
12 ouncebagsemi-sweet chocolate chips
12 ouncebagbutterscotch morsels
2cupsmini marshmallows
graham crackers for dipping
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F. Spread a layer of semi-sweet chocolate chips evenly on the bottom of the skillet.
Sprinkle butterscotch morsels evenly over the chocolate layer. Bake on the lower rack in the oven for about 5 minutes, until the chocolate starts to melt.
Remove the skillet from the oven (leave the oven on). Evenly sprinkle mini marshmallows over the melted chocolate and butterscotch. Place the skillet on the top rack in the oven and bake for another 2-3 minutes until the marshmallows are toasted golden brown.
Keep a close eye to avoid burning; if marshmallows aren’t browning, switch to broil for 1 minute. Remove skillet from oven and serve immediately with graham crackers for dipping. Swirl with a knife if desired.
Notes
Use a 12-inch cast iron skillet or oven proof baking dish for even heat distribution and easy oven-to-table serving.
Don’t leave the marshmallows unattended under the broiler, they toast quickly and can burn in seconds.
Serve the dip right away to enjoy the melty texture at its best.
If you want extra gooey marshmallows, cover loosely with foil after baking to keep warm.
