In a small bowl, slice the avocados and scoop out the pulp. Mash with a fork until mostly smooth. A few small chunks will remain.

Add the mashed avocado, sour cream, mayonnaise, ranch seasoning, lime juice, and fresh cilantro to a food processor or blender.

Pulse for about 2 minutes until the mixture is creamy and uniform. Scrape down the sides with a spatula and blend again to make sure everything is well mixed.
Spoon the dip into a decorative bowl. Garnish with chopped cilantro and lime slices. Serve with tortilla chips and carrot sticks.

Notes
Chill the dip for at least 30 minutes before serving for best flavor and texture.
Taste before serving. Ranch seasoning brands vary, and you might want a pinch of salt or extra lime.
If your avocados are very soft, you can skip the mashing step.
