What You’ll Need
Here’s what you’ll need to make this delicious whipped feta dip with honey in just 10 minutes! Quantities are listed in the printable recipe card below.
- cream cheese – choose the full fat version for best results and make sure it’s softened to room temperature before using
- block of feta cheese – I purchase the creamiest version I can find
- extra virgin olive oil – helps smooth out the cheese while blending
- dried basil – adds a nice touch of seasoning, can sub dried oregano if desired
- crushed red pepper flakes – just a little on top gives this dish a hint of heat
- slivered almonds, toasted – spread out the almonds on a cookie sheet and toast in a 350ºF oven for about 5 minutes until golden brown. Watch carefully so they don’t burn.
- fresh blueberries – adds a nice balance of fruit with the honey, can sub other berries
- honey – I use clover honey, but sourwood honey tastes amazing with this dip
- fresh parsley – chop it finely and sprinkle on top for a pop of color

Easy Instructions
- Whip the Cream Cheese and Feta
Use a food processor, blender or mixer to whip the cream cheese and feta until it’s totally lump-free and fluffy. - Blend in Olive Oil and Basil
Add the olive oil and dried basil. Give it another good blend so everything’s super smooth and creamy. - Make a Pattern
Spread the whipped feta cheese into a shallow serving dish and make a swirled indention pattern in the dip with a butter knife. I created a circular pattern, but you can get creative if you like! - Drizzle the Honey and Garnishes

Recipe FAQ
Yes, just be sure to scrape down the sides a few times to keep it creamy.
Prepare the base up to 2 days in advance. Add honey and garnishes just before serving for optimal freshness.
Greek yogurt or ricotta cheese are excellent alternatives that provide a creamy texture, but the flavor will definitely change. I recommend using cream cheese in this recipe.
Absolutely. Use vegan feta, vegan cream cheese, and substitute honey with agave syrup or maple syrup.
Dip Tips
- Use a block of feta, not the pre-crumbled type. It’s creamier and blends better.
- If you don’t want to make a design with the honey, scoop out a hole in the middle and add honey there.
- Cream cheese softened to room temp mixes up smoother.
- Toast some almonds for irresistible crunch and nutty flavor as a garnish.
Storage Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. They’ll stay good for about 5 days. The flavors get better as they blend too!
Since this dip contains dairy, it’s not recommended for freezing.
